Origin’s EON 18 Gaming Laptop

You might not be familiar with the brand Origin. But don’t you know that it is powerful enough to rival those notebooks available out there in the market. Origin has just recently entered the notebook market with its first model the EON 18, boasting some of the best specs available like possessing a Core 2 Extreme processor QX9300 clocked in at 2.53GHz and a dual Nvidia GTX 280m graphics chip and dual solid-state drives.

The EON 18 proves to be a behemoth when it comes to processing prowess. When it comes to portability it only measures at 17.3 x 11.8 x 1.7 inches and only weighs at 12.5 pounds making it quite heavy for its size, although the power of this monster makes the compensation for the weight. The power battery alone, weighs at  3 pounds making more heavier than the average notebook.
This 18.4 inch notebook monster has multiple lighting effects that can be customized with a custom airbrushed paint job. The 18.4 inch screen is powerful enough to play high end games without you causing an eye strain. The screen itself can display crystal clear images at 1920 x 1080p at its highest resolution. The notebook packs a dual 256 GV SSD RAID 0 configuration making it one superb piece of equipment in gaming.

Consumers can either choose whether they want to have a DVD burner or a Blu-ray combo or Blu-ray burner. Being that powerful, the EON 18 would have its downside though, and that would be its monstrous price tag. The EON 18 sells at $2599 making it the most expensive notebooks up to this date. Expect to burn holes in your pockets when you purchase this kind of laptop.

Unleash that gamer in you with the EON 18 gaming laptop. The EON 18 would be a sure fire hit to many gamers during this holiday season.

Iconic’s Rouge LED Flashlight

These days lighting products have gone far enough to giving us artificial light, not to mention LED’s going cheap and are everywhere. Light bulbs are getting obsolete by the minute and are already been replaced with the new LED technology.

Unfortunately not all LED technology products available in the market live to its name. There are some products in the LED world doesn’t seem to fit the right description with regards to giving consumers true LED experience.  On the other hand there is a product that definitely is worth checking out, introducing Icon’s Rogue series of high-fashion LED flashlights that give you the best LED technology on the market. The flashlight’s body is made up from a single piece of aluminum and O-rings that make this product a water proof device up to 1 meter of depth.

The ribs on the shaft make it light and easy to hold. Gripping down the body gives you full control and it doesn’t slip when your hands are wet. It also baffles vent heat that could built when you’re holding it for too long in you other hand.

Because of the LED bulbs is used as its primary light source, the two-stage lamp can even last up to 72 hours maximum when used in a low 10 lumen setting position and up to three hours when you use it under 100-lumen position. LED’s consume less energy, so the Rogue 2 model can simply be powered by two AA batteries.

The company claims it to be “virtually indestructible” and its “aerospace-grade body” keeps it solid and hard enough to withstand in any terrain.

Flashlights that are available in market today that use incandescent bulbs die when they are dropped from a high area, but with Icon’s Rogue flashlight it just keeps going and going.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Infinity Ward gave the world a whole new way of simulating war and violence on November 2007 with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The game engine was near-perfection, the graphics were awesome, the premise was enticing, the storyline was engaging, and the amount of firepower available was somehow uplifting. Two years later, they came up with an improved version of the engine and a game that sought to transcend our perception of today’s battlefields with Modern Warfare 2.

We can go on with the various features that make Modern Warfare 2 great, but that is a waste of time since we already know them from its predecessor. Aside from the addition of kill streak customization, more weapons added to the armory, and other various features, the premise is the same. There subtle differences between the two games are what should be observed to give an accurate conclusion as to why this game deserves credit.

The original Modern Warfare was made to be almost like an arcade military simulation. Childish it may have been, it was not as over the top as most people expected. It did its best in showing accuracy with both weapons and conditions in the battlefield. It was difficult because real warfare is. It had a simple interface and overall system for enjoying both single and multiplayer modes equally. There are a few stylistic changes with aesthetics and presentation, but they got the whole vibe of today’s way of war quite well.

This sequel is all about busting your eardrums with a wall of incredible noise. Childish it really does seem as the conciseness in the first game has been mostly thrown out the window. It is evident with the controls as the lean buttons have been omitted, giving way to a more dynamic and run-and-gun type of gameplay. The weapons are a wide array of insanity that ranges from the classical to the bleeding edge, and even to the plain crazy with akimbo weapons. This is just for enjoyment from singleplayer to multiplayer. The local area network may be gone, but it is still great if you have a Steam account.

Also, Modern Warfare 2 has also continued the tradition of showing the shock value of war to a wider audience. With all these war games showing how cool the action is, the storyline that most people don’t really get (because they’re mostly idiots who can’t follow storyline properly) shows the savagery of war to its fullest extent. As the first game showed the execution of a deposed leader, “righteous” suicide of a terrorist, and an actual nuclear explosion that kills everyone in the major area, this one shows a lot as well. It has spawned enough controversy to give credibility to its reputation.

Years from now, this won’t be just a video game, but a multi-cultural product. It shows war as an ugly monster that will get you killed 99% of the time and breaks down everyone involved. All these things combined is the reason why this is such a great game, even with the high price tag.
